Sucking the last bit of soul from the Saxophone
A list of songs from the 80’s with an exceptionally elaborate saxophone solo.
I’m not sorry if your favourite Bob Seger, Huey Lewis, Kenny G or even (dare I include his name with the previously mentioned) Bruce Springsteen song didn’t make the cut. I tried to find some groups where the horn, or brass sections were not inherent to the groups overall sound. Save for, of course, Madness and the English Beat. But, in their defense, these songs have exceptionally elaborate sax solos. So, eat me.
